Stormwater Pollution

Stormwater is often seen as natural replenishment for Earth, it facilitates earth to prosper and the growth of the ecosystem. However, Stormwater does not always serve as a conducive job in urbanized cities like Alexandria, Virginia. Stormwater pollution strongly impacts the local Potomac river. Storms become frequent and strong during the rainy season of Alexandria. Stormwater accumulates shortly and will run to the nearby sewage. Meanwhile, the stormwater will carry pollutants down to the sewer and the water will then be discharged to the Potomac river.
